Barrier Coatings – Ignition & Thermal Protection for Spray Foam
DC-315 Thermal Barrier (Ice Gray)
DC-315 is an interior ignition or thermal barrier coating for polyurethane spray foam insulation. Depending on your project, an ignition or thermal barrier is often required by the Building Code. This water-based latex system dries quickly and reaches maximum properties in under 14 days.
For application, DC-315 requires an airless sprayer with a minimum of 1 GPM or 3300 PSI and a tip size between 525 and 529. Coverage: 450 sq. ft. per 5 gallons at 12 mils thick (wet) or 12 mils thick (dry).
Why Use Barrier Coatings?
- Safety: Meets building code requirements for fire resistance.
- Performance: Improves thermal protection of spray foam insulation.
- Efficiency: Quick-drying formula for faster project completion.
